On December 27, 2020, Komsomolsk-on-Amur hosted the traditional weightlifting competitions in the memory of Vladimir Rachkov, the first official coach in this sport in our city. On December 24, the students of 3rd and 4th year of study (the Institute of pedagogy and psychology, Department of theory and methodology of physical culture and sports) under the guidance of associate Professor and a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Komsomolsk-on-Amur Karas T. Y. visited Children's house №8 of Komsomolsk-on-Amur. On the eve of the New Year, Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy traditionally holds a fairytale show for the youngest. However, this year, due to the difficult epidemiological situation, the university decided to capture the festive performance on video and present a gift to children online. On December 6, 2020, the participants of the city exhibition-contest "Dedication to Victory" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) were awarded at the Museum of Fine Arts. The title of "Winner of the contest-exhibition "Dedication to the Victory" was awarded Zagibalov Victoria, the 5th year student of ASUHP, the field of training "Pedagogical education (with two training profiles)" profiles "Technology" and "art". Victoria presented her painting "Minutes of Silence", made in the gouache technique. On December 17, 2020, the Faculty of Philology and Cross-cultural Communication held the second lesson of the School of the Future Philologist for students of grades 9-11. Yulia V. Krasnoperova, Head of the Department of Romano-Germanic and Oriental Languages, delivered a popular science lecture on strategies for translating movie titles. The lesson had a practical focus: high school students tried themselves as translators, learned the difficulties that arise when translating from one language to another. The second part of the lesson was conducted by the head of the Department of Russian Language Avdeenko Ivan Anatolyevich. The associate professor of the department revealed to the students the secrets of the organization of the text. The lesson at the School of the future philologist was very informative: the students learned a lot of new and interesting things.

On December 14, 2020, the results of the annual Star Show 2020 talent contest were summed up. The event was held with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization of Students of ASUHP, the Department for Educational and Social Work with Students, the Regional "Youth House". This year, in a difficult epidemiological situation, the competition was held in an unusual format. All performances were recorded and put up for voting on the official page of "ASUHP" in the VK to determine the audience award. The jury of the contest, after watching the video of the participants ' performances, gave ratings, determining the winners in the categories: 1st place-Diana Demysheva - "Original genre" 1st place-Angelina Delmukhametova - "Choreography» 1st place-Alexandra Leonova – "Artistic Word" 1st place-Polina Nekrasova - "Vocal Art" Polina Nekrasova also won in the category "Audience Award", gaining the most votes. This year, the Educational Center "Confucius Institute", created in our university together with Harbin Normal University, which is a long-time partner of our university, turns 10 years old. In October 2010 with the participation of delegations of several universities in China, the delegation of the Consulate General of China in Khabarovsk in a solemn atmosphere this Educational center was opened. Throughout the autumn, anniversary events dedicated to the activities of the center are held. Not so long ago, a Poetry contest was held among schoolchildren studying Chinese and, yesterday, another event took place that is important for the Educational Center and for the University as a whole. On December 16, as part of the University's scientific events, an international scientific conference dedicated to the anniversary of the Confucius Institute was held. The name of the conference is " Russia and China: Thoughts about the past, a look into the future " speaks about the content of the issues discussed at it. Researchers, practical teachers, and researchers from Russia and China presented their reports on the problems of linguistics and literature, methods of teaching Chinese and the philosophical views of great thinkers, historical events, and the joint fight against the COVID 19 pandemic. Taking into account the current realities, when it is impossible to simultaneously gather a large number of participants within one university, it was decided to hold the conference simultaneously in different formats. This is especially important, given that the participants of the conference represented universities in Moscow, Ryazan, Perm, Novosibirsk, Blagoveshchensk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and other cities of Russia, as well as the North-East of China. Therefore, the conference itself was held in full-time (in compliance with all the norms of social distancing), online (via broadcast) and in absentia formats (in the mode of a pre-sent video presentation). The conference itself was broadcast online, so everyone had the opportunity to watch the conference itself and ask questions directly during the speech. The total number of participants in the conference exceeded 80 people.

10 December, 2020 in the framework of the national project "Education", Department of pedagogy of professional education of ASUHP was held the regional scientific-practical seminar "Problems of management in education". The seminar was attended by teachers of the Pedagogy of Professional education department and undergraduates studying in the direction of training 44.04.01 "Teacher Education" master's degree program "Management in education". The scientific and practical seminar was devoted to the discussion of issues related to the improvement of modern approaches and principles of management of educational systems, the analysis of management practices of educational organizations in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Khabarovsk Territory. In the distance mode, undergraduates and teachers discussed theoretical and applied aspects of improving the management process in the field of primary general, basic general and additional education, and also discussed modern ways and means of improving the quality management of education. Following the results of the Regional scientific and practical seminar "Problems of management in the field of education", a collection will be published, including the materials of the conference.

On December 9, 2020 at the Faculty of Philology and Intercultural Communication, the Pedagogical Workshop for senior students of Philology opened its doors again within the framework of the federal project "Teacher of the Future" of the national project "Education". The event is organized by the Department of Literature and Russian as a Foreign Language. This time, Anatoly Kuznetsov, a teacher of Russian language and literature of the Hero of the Soviet Union Yevgeny Dikopoltsev Gymnasium No. 1, a graduate of the philological faculty of our university, the winner of the city competition "Teacher of the Year" (2013), a poet, a member of the city writers' organization named after G. N. Khlebnikov, acted as a teacher-mentor for undergraduates. Anatoly Yurievich told the students of 4-5 courses about extracurricular activities in the literature at school. The teacher noted in his speech that in modern conditions, the implementation of systematic extracurricular work on literature is becoming more relevant: "Ensuring an effective combination of regular and extracurricular forms of organizing the educational process...". Extracurricular activities in literature (Olympiads, conferences, contests, quizzes, musical and literary compositions, and so on) provide cognitive and creative activity of students in the process of their general intellectual development. Then Anatoly Yurievich held a master class on the development of a seminar on versification for novice poets.

Participants can be photographers, videographers and bloggers aged 18 to 35 years with their professional equipment. They will walk along the most interesting routes of Lake Baikal and Irkutsk, get acquainted with the culture of local peoples and visit the island of Olkhon. The project will result in photo exhibitions in more than 30 regions of Russia. Every day, participants will enjoy informative workshops from well-known Russian travel bloggers and, of course, 5 photo tours, where everyone will be able to enjoy the beauty of the area and capture it! Travel bloggers Vitaly Raskalov, Artem Ronin and Rustam Shagimordanov, whose total Instagram audience exceeds 400 thousand people, will accompany the participants on the trip.

On December 2-5, 2020, the VII All-Russian Forum "Topical Issues of Student Sports Development" was held in St. Petersburg at the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. The Head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture and Sports Disciplines Popova I. A. and the assistant of the department Lapoukhov E. I. (the chairman of the student sports club of ASUHP) took part in the forum in an interactive format. The main task of the forum was to inform the participants about the current problems and trends in the development of student sports. The Forum was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the operator was St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. During the Forum, the Department participated in the expert meeting of the Ministry of science and higher education of the Russian Federation "All-Russian review competition among educational institutions of higher education for the best organization of physical and sports activities", which was held in a public presentation of projects of educational institutions of higher education – the winners of the national contest among educational institutions of higher education for the best organization of physical and sports activities in 2020, as well as the plans to hold a similar contest in 2021. December 4, the work of the sections was carried out, one of them is a Strategic section of the Ministry of education of Russia, Ministry of sport, Ministry of education of Russia, the Association of student sports clubs of Russia "Development of student sports clubs and College sports leagues".

On December 3, the International Day of the Disabled, an all-Russian campaign on voluntary testing was held, in which students and teachers of the Special (Defectological) Education training course of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology took part and tested their knowledge on the topic of an accessible environment and skills of inclusive communication with people with disabilities. The key thematic blocks of the test were the moral and ethical aspects of communication with people with disabilities, advice on providing situational assistance and accompanying clients with hearing, vision, musculoskeletal, mental disorders, the regulatory framework and an integrated approach to organizing an accessible environment. The test "Accessible Environment" was read to the participants by Ksenia Alferova, Russian theater and film actress, TV presenter, co-founder of the Charity Foundation for Supporting People with Special Needs "I am!". According to the results of the test will be created a rating of the Russian regions by the level of involvement of regions in the events on creation of conditions of accessibility for people with disabilities and other categories of people with limited mobility, as well as the level of knowledge of the regions concerning the organization of an accessible environment and formed measures to improve the accessibility of facilities and services in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The head of the Department of Preschool and Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology O. V. Lipunova and Associate Professor of the Department Yu. V. Serebrenikova took an active part in the inclusion of students of ASUHP in the all-Russian campaign.

On November 29, 2020, the annual international educational event "Geographical Dictation" was held at the ASUHP. The Dictation was organized by the All-Russian public Organization "Russian Geographical Society" (RGS) and the Faculty of Natural Geography. For the first time on the basis of ASUHP, the event was held in a remote form. The dictation was conducted to assess the level of geographical literacy of the population. 85 residents of Komsomolsk-on-Amur took part in the action.

On November 26, 2020, the school of the future philologist began its work at the faculty of Philology and intercultural communication in the new academic year. The first lesson was held for high school students. Students were introduced to the faculty and its structure, told about the areas of training in which students study, about the average score for admission, about the features of recruitment to the university in 2021. The second part of the school of the future philologist was devoted to preparation for the Russian state exam. Russian language teacher Lina A. Lisina, associate Professor of the Department of Russian language, discussed with students the difficulties that arise when working with exam tasks in the Russian language.
