Russian as a foreign language Department continues to introduce foreign students not only to the Russian language, but also to Russian culture. This time, Chinese students got acquainted with the traditions of Maslenitsa.

On March 13, the Amur State University for Humanities and Pedagogy is planning a career guidance event "My choice-ASUHP" for 9 and 10 year-students of secondary schools in the city and municipal districts.

Annual winter route surveys of mammals were held in the Komsomolsk nature reserve from February 17 to 20. More than 90 kilometers in the taiga during these days were overcome by the reserve staff together with students of the ASUHP from the team of the "Nizhneamursky ecological inspection".

On February 20, the all-Russian historical quest "Battle for Stalingrad" was held in the center of youth projects and programs of the "House of youth". The winner was the team of the faculty of history and law. The task of the quest participants was to try on the role of Russian journalists, collect photos and memories of veterans of the great Patriotic War who participated in the Battle for Stalingrad. To get memories, participants had to complete tasks: determine the type of weapon by sound, build a bridge, and even build a stretcher on their own. "It was a very entertaining event. The quest consisted of 6 stations, and all of them were associated with individuals who distinguished themselves during the Battle for Stalingrad. These stations did not test your knowledge of history, but told you about something new for you. Tasks also tested your intelligence, allowed you to feel in the place of the very individuals whom the story was about. Thank you to the organizers for an informative, fun and energetic event!",- 1st year student Artem Makarevich shares his impressions. At the end of the quest, participants had to fill the issued albums with photos and memories of veterans. Students of ASUHP coped with this "perfectly" and shared the first place with students of the Forestry College. The University received 65 students who participated in the Olympiad from various regions of the Khabarovsk territory: Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Sovetsko-Gavansky municipal district, Solnechny municipal district, Vaninsky municipal district, Mykolaiv municipal district, Sergey Lazo municipal district, Amur municipal district, Verkhnebureinsky municipal district, Vyazemsky municipal district, Ulchsky municipal district. The Olympiad is held in the following categories: "Machinery, technology and technical creativity", grade 9; "Machinery, technology and technical creativity", grades 10-11;"Design and technology", grade 9; "Design and technology", grades 10-11. Students will have to go through theoretical and practical tours, submit a creative project. The results of the Olympiad will be announced on Friday, February 21.

The Department of theory and methodology of technology education completed the activities carried out within the Days of science-2019. 78 students of the faculty of technology, economics and design and 27 students of the institute of distant education and additional training took part in the activities of the Department.

On May 18, the annual opening of the summer labor semester was held at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Youth House. The Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy was represented by two groups.

The Japanese Foundation, together with the Consulate General of Japan in Khabarovsk and The Museum of fine arts of Komsomolsk-on-Amur from May 22 to June 16, 2019, presents the exhibition of curator Yuji Yamashita "Filigree craftsmanship of Japan". The opening of the exhibition is free!

On May 17, the traditional exhibition-fair "Parade of professions" was held on the youth square. The students of ASUHP and the stuff annually participate in the fair. In the tent with career guidance materials the applicants were told about the activities of the university and the advantages of admission to ASUHP.

Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy hosted the Nanai culture fair on May 18. The event had the character of "dialogue of cultures": representatives of different nationalities – Nanais, Negidals, Evenks, Russians, the Chinese were present. The event was attended by over a hundred people: students of five faculties and the Institute of pedagogy and psychology of ASUHP, the inhabitants of the village of Nizhniy holby, the village named after Polina Osipenko.

On May 14^th the Department of theory and methodology of physical education and sport held a regional scientific-methodical seminar "Relevant problems of PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORT IN the EDUCATION SYSTEM AND WAYS of THEIR SOLUTION". 24 participants of our region wished to participate in the seminar to submit for consideration and discuss topical issues of physical culture and sports.

In April and May 2019, a series of clean ups was held as part of The Earth Day and environmental action "March of parks".

The senior lecturer of the Department of philosophy and socio-political disciplines Alexander Biryukov attended a scientific seminar at the state Museum of Auschwitz-Birkenau, located in the city of Auschwitz in the Republic of Poland.
